What you need to know about parental leave and your benefits from CVS Health® or CVS Health Care Delivery.
Starting and raising a family is a joyful, yet challenging time for new parents. Getting support shouldn’t be. This guide is for you if you or your spouse/partner are expecting a child. It has all the resources you need to help support you and your family throughout this exciting journey. Get help planning your next steps for:

Paid Parental Leave
Full-time eligible colleagues can take four weeks of paid leave at 100% of their based salary to bond with their new baby, newly adopted child or child newly placed through a foster care placement. The job-protected leave can be taken within a 12-month period measured from the event date. The leave is available to both men and women.

Back-Up Care™
Back-Up Care™
To help address gaps in family care, all colleagues have access to Bright Horizons Back-Up Care™. Back-Up Care can help when:
School is closed for a holiday or a regular caregiver is unavailable
Your spouse/partner needs in-home care while recovering from surgery
Your parent or loved one needs care in their home
A school-age child needs personalized academic support
A school-age child is home on a weekday and need an engaging virtual activity
Benefit Details:
5 uses per colleague per year (June 1 – May 31)
Flexible options: Center-based, in-home, virtual
Copays1:
Center-based care: $25/day for one child or $35/day for more than one child
In-home care: $6/hour (4-hour minimum, 10-hour maximum)
Virtual Tutoring: $25 for 4 hours
Virtual Camp (up to 11 hours): No copay
Pet Care: No copay (exchange a back-up care day for $150 credit to use on Rover)
1Please note that the amount CVS Health pays toward the cost of care is considered imputed income and is included in your taxable wage base.

You’ll have access to:
A personal Care Advocate
Unlimited video chat messages and video appointments with doctors, nurses and coaches across 35+ specialties, including fertility and pediatrics
Virtual classes and provider-vetted articles-tailored to your journey
Plus, you can receive financial reimbursement** for approved eligible expenses related to adoption, acquisition of donor material, surrogacy, and doula ($25,000 lifetime max).
Colleagues must submit eligible expenses within 120 days of the date of service.
Getting reimbursed is easy, all managed through the Maven Clinic app.
*Maven is available to CVS Health and CVS Health Care Delivery benefit eligible colleagues (work 30 hours or more per week), plus their spouses/partners.
** Effective 6/1/24, new hires will have a 1 year wait period before becoming eligible to submit for financial reimbursement.
