CVS Health® offers lifelong learning support for you — plus support for your family’s education, too. From planning to helping you reach your goals, we have programs to help.

  • Tuition Assistance Program and Partnerships

    Tuition Assistance Program

    To help make education more affordable and accessible to our colleagues, CVS Health offers reimbursement up to $3,000 for job-related degree programs or $1,500 for pre-approved non degree programs. Covered expenses include tuition, books, and mandatory course-related fees. If you attend a direct partner school, you can achieve your education goals with $0 out-of-pocket cost, depending on the program. See more about these partnerships below. Full-time colleagues are eligible on the first day of the month following their start date and part-time colleagues are eligible after 90 days of service.

    • Free one-on-one coaching: Get help choosing a program to match your learning preferences, career objectives and schedule and/or help with all aspects of saving and paying for school.

    • Education network discounts: Access tuition discounts and other special benefits for you and immediate family (spouse/partner and dependent children) from 230+ colleges and universities in the EdAssist network.

    • Easy online tools: Submit applications and check status, find programs and courses tailored to working adults, and check out webinars and online resources.

    Get reimbursed for eligible education expenses (limits apply); save on tuition and fees through various partnerships.

    Tuition Assistance Partnerships

    CVS Health has partnered with select education partners to provide colleagues with opportunities to pursue their education goals with no out-of-pocket cost.

    Colorado Technical University

    Colleagues have access to undergraduate degree programs under the Commitment Grant including numerous concentrations in Business Administration, IT, Healthcare Management and Criminal Justice for flat $3,000 annually.

    • Programs are available 100% online and students take 1 course per 5 ½ week session. Colleagues can take a maximum of 8 courses annually.

    • $0 out of pocket annually for colleagues when taking advantage of direct-billing from CTU to EdAssist.

    • CTU offers a 20% grant for colleagues towards all other degree programs offered at CTU of for those who opt not to participate in the Commitment Grant.

    • CTU offers a 10% grant for immediate family members of all colleagues.

    Strategic Education Inc. (includes Sophia, Capella and Strayer University)

    Colleagues will have access to numerous degree programs in Business, Psychology, IT, Nursing, and Health Care at the Bachelor's, Master’s, and Doctoral level aligned to the cost of the $3000 annual CVS Health reimbursement.

    • Uses a blended education pathway including pre-requisite coursework through Sophia, and degree-specific courses through Strayer University and Capella University.

    • Innovative way to learn and earn degree credentials through Capella University or Strayer University.

    • $0 out of pocket annually for colleagues when taking advantage of direct-billing from SEI to EdAssist.

    • SEI offers a 10% tuition discount for immediate family members of all colleagues.

    University of Phoenix

    Colleagues have access to all non-competency-based degrees offered by University of Phoenix, aligned to the CVS Health $3,000 annual cap. This includes associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees – with no out of pocket cost to CVS Health colleagues!

    • Programs are available 100% online* and students can take up to 6 undergraduate, 3 Master’s, or 2 Doctoral courses under the CVS Health cap.

    • $0 out of pocket annually for colleagues pursuing a covered degree under the above schedule

    *some degrees may also require clinical hours, and some programs are only available in certain states.

    Career Online High School

    Colleagues can take advantage of our partnership with Career Online High School (COHS) to earn an accredited high school diploma 100% online. The cost of this program is $1495 and is paid directly to COHS by EdAssist using the non-degree annual cap.

    EdAssist Education Partnerships

    Offers CVS Health colleagues access to over 230 schools that provide tuition discounts, waived fees, and other benefits.

  • Student Loan Coaching

    Student Loan Coaching

    Before taking out a new loan or refinancing existing loan, be sure to speak to a financial coach. These decisions have a long-term impact on your financial well-being.

    The unbiased Certified Financial Planner Professional coaches from Financial Finesse will help you understand the pros and cons of each type of student loan and will help you develop a plan to pay for your educational goals and/or pay off your student loan debt without sacrificing your financial security.

    CVS Health provides this benefit to colleagues free of charge, so take advantage and call 866-291-7134 to speak with a financial coach Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 8:00 pm Eastern time.

    • Tutoring/Academic Support: Through Bright Horizons®, get discounted access to:

      • Tutoring and test prep for you and your family. Save on Varsity Tutors virtual learning, Sylvan personalized support for K-12, and Revolution Prep for K-12 and college courses. Visit clients.brighthorizons.com/cvshealth.

      • Virtual learning options, including virtual tutoring for school-age children and virtual camps for children ages 3 - 12, for low copays. Visit backup.brighthorizons.com.

    • Higher Education Scholarships: Children of full-time (30+ hours) colleagues can apply for scholarships for a two- or four-year college or university program from the CVS Health Scholarships for Children of Colleagues Program. Applications are reviewed by an independent committee.
