Adoption Assistance Policy

CarMax has an Adoption Assistance Policy to provide eligible Associates with reimbursement for qualified adoption-related expenses.

The maximum amount that an Associate may receive in reimbursement for adoption related expenses is $4,000 for each adopted child (including special needs children) or each attempted adoption. Qualifying expenses include things like:

  • Agency and placement fees

  • Legal fees and court costs

  • Transportation and lodging
