401(k) Retirement Savings Plan

The CarMax Retirement Savings Plan (the “Plan”) is the 401(k) savings benefit through T. Rowe Price. Full-Time Associates, Part-Time Associates, and interns who are age 18+ are immediately eligible to contribute to the Plan and receive CarMax matching contributions.

For every $1.00 you contribute (either pre-tax or Roth), up to 6% of your eligible pay per paycheck, CarMax will deposit a $1.00 matching contribution (pre-tax).

Associates are immediately vested in all contributions.

CarMax offers both pre-tax and Roth deferral elections, rollovers from other qualified plans, and a wide range of investment options.
