Planning a leave of any kind? (FMLA, short-term disability, parental leave)
Chubb provides access to many types of paid and unpaid leaves to assist with personal matters from bonding with a new baby to getting surgery or caring for a family member.
The Leave Management Team can ensure that your leave is tracked correctly, and you get the support you need during this time.
If you are an employee working in the state of New Jersey, New York, or Hawaii, statutory short-term disability benefits will be administered by New York Life. The Leave Management Team will initiate a claim for the state disability benefits with New York Life on your behalf. Chubb STD pay to the employee will be offset by the statutory benefits paid by New York Life.
Employees working in the other states may also be eligible for state disability benefits, however those claims will need to be filed by the employee directly with the state. This includes states such as California and Rhode Island. Chubb STD pay to the employee will be offset by the state statutory benefits paid by the state.
The following Statutory Disability/Family Leave Benefits Guide (2026) contains important information you need to know when filing your claim.
