2027 Annual Benefits Enrollment
Annual Enrollment 2027: Simpler choices. Clearer decisions.
Annual enrollment opens Monday, Nov. 2 and closes Friday, Nov. 20 for the new plan year (Jan. 1 – Dec. 31, 2027). Annual enrollment is your opportunity to review the benefits that are part of your CVS Health Total Rewards. It’s a chance to review the options available and make choices based on what matters most to you.
As we continue to improve your benefits experience, we’ve focused on making our benefits easier to understand, compare, and use. Based on colleague feedback, we’re simplifying our medical plan choices, introducing new benefits and features designed to better meet your needs, and continuing to provide tools to help you make informed decisions.
Enrollment Checklist
Review your options and complete these key steps during enrollment:
- Review your coverage: Evaluate your current medical, dental, and vision elections and make any necessary changes.
- Update working spouse/partner attestation: If enrolling a spouse or domestic partner in medical coverage, update your attestation if needed.
- Update tobacco/nicotine status: Verify and update your status and your enrolled spouse/partner's status.
- Complete your preventive visit: If enrolling in medical coverage, ensure you have completed your annual preventive care visit.
- Active FSA elections required: Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) do not roll over automatically. You must make new FSA elections for the upcoming plan year.
What happens if you don’t enroll? In general, your current elections and coverage tiers, your working spouse/partner attestation election, and your tobacco/nicotine status will automatically continue. However, you must actively re-elect your Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
New medical plan options
Every year we review our medical plans and make updates to reflect new types of coverage and cost changes. Key plan updates for 2027 include:
- Informed Choice option: Features copays for primary care, specialist visits, outpatient mental health, and select surgeries with no deductible. Copays can be lowered by choosing providers meeting Aetna Smart Compare quality standards, plus a $0 copay for MinuteClinic services. Does not include an HSA.
- Hybrid & OOA Plans: Hybrid Gold and Silver continue with no changes to deductibles or out-of-pocket maximums. The Out-of-Area (OOA) Plan will offer an HRA instead of an HSA.
-
HSP 1 and HSP 3 renamed:
Now HSP Gold (featuring a modest IRS-required deductible increase of $50 single /
$100 family) and HSP Silver (no changes to deductible or out-of-pocket maximum).
Both utilize the broad Aetna Choice POS II network.
Corporate population only - Plan retirements: HSP 1 with APCN Plus and HSP 2 will be retired. Corporate population only
2027 limits on tax-advantaged savings for health care and dependent care expenses
