Hospital Indemnity Plan
Visit the 2025 Open Enrollment page for information on benefit changes effective 1/1/2025.
Hospital Indemnity Insurance (HI), administered by Aetna, pays benefits when you have a planned or unplanned hospital stay for an illness, injury, surgery, or if you are having a baby. The plan pays a lump-sum benefit for admission and a daily benefit for a covered hospital stay. You can use the cash benefits to help pay for out-of-pocket medical costs or personal expenses. Benefits are paid regardless of any other insurance you may have and you may enroll eligible dependents.
You are eligible to enroll if you are regular associates scheduled to work 20 or more standard hours per week. You may generally only enroll as a new hire or during Open Enrollment only each calendar year.
To view full program details, including summary plan descriptions/overviews (as applicable), access the Library by going to Learn in the header and then selecting Resource Library. If the Library is not visible, you must be logged in first as a regular associate.
